Disney Taps Mark Romanek To Reimagine CINDERELLA!

With Mark Romanek already out of contention to direct THE WOLVERINE (which was eventually went to James Mangold), he is now being eyed by Disney to get him on board to direct a new version of CINDERELLA.

Based on the ambitious pitch by THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA scribe Aline Brosh McKenna, the insiders have describe that the story re-imagines the classic tale where the prince is set for a politically arranged marriage, until the evil plan is threatened when the prince meets Cinderella.

Deal is yet to be made, but Disney is making their new CINDERELLA project a top priority.
