Why getting the girl is a struggle for Ranbir

Kiara and he meet while attempting suicide, and make a pact to die on the last day of the year 2009. But while she was ready to die together, she refuses an offer to live with him. Despite his constant care, a romantic getaway and sleeping  with him, she chooses her ex-boyfriend over him in the film!

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani
Real life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were first paired on screen in this romance drama. The stammering characters become friends in the film, but when Prem (Ranbir) decides to take the next step, Jenny (Katrina) tells him that she loves Rahul (Upen Patel). A heartbroken Prem takes the high road and even helps the couple elope! Maybe that's what scored him points in real life too....

Even in his debut flick Ranbir Kapoor had to let go of his love Sonam Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'blue' film. She in turn is the pining lover of a lost Imaan (Salman Khan).
